The computerized engraving machine actually uses a fine, diamond tip to etch or cut the words out onto the inside of the ring. We can engrave on platinum, gold, titanium, stainless steel, tungsten carbide, and even more materials. We have even engraved the inside of a ring as small as 1.7mm wide. Now I am not saying it’s easy to read on a band this wide, but it can be done. The two fonts we like to use but are not limited to are Helvetica and Script. Helvetica looks like an italicized block font. A lot of clients choose this because it’s easier to read than Script. Personally, I like the Script font. There is something elegant about the swirls and curved lines of the script font. We have even engraved many different symbols on the inside of engagement rings and wedding bands. The most popular symbol is the heart shape. Another quite popular symbol that can be engraved on the inside ring is the infinity symbol.
